The Qadi Nyuswa Taxi Association Chairman Mbomvu Ngubane says the newly-opened fuel depot in the vicinity of Nyuswa Primary School will benefit locals.
This is a 100% owned business and it is opening up job opportunities in the area. Ngubane says they have go bigger plans as the association.
“We would like to urge the community to treat this project as their own because it is making a difference in the area. We are looking at venturing into the tyre industry which will create more job opportunities for locals,” he said.
Bongi MaZulu-Msimang Luthuli of Nkomba Holdings which presented the idea to the association says the process was a smooth one.
“We have approached a few associations and negotiations are ongoing. Qadi Nyuswa Association have been the quickest to react and the rest is history.
“Taxi owners use fuel anyway so why can’t they take advantage of this opportunity and make money in the process as opposed to just giving away,” she said.
This fuel depot offers just diesel for now but they will offer petrol as time progresses. They are not limited to just taxis, so if you have your own vehicle you are more than welcome to pay them a visit.
