A matric young man from Matiwane northwest of KwaZulu Natal is doing wonders.
Zothani Mbhele (18) who comes under Alfred Duma Local Municipality, (ADLM) built his car from scratch. This talented young man started to make this car last year while he was still doing his grade 11.
Lots of ADLM employees as well as Ward 23 councillor Thobani Dlamini gathered at the Mbheles house to witness and congratulate Mbhele for his amazing work of establishing a new car that has a different brand.
Mbhele who wishes to further his studies in engineering next year said he started to have a passion for cars when he was still young.
“I started to make wire cars, and then I developed go-kart cars. Later I started to have a vision of building my car which has the brand that I have established.
Even though it was difficult to start at first; I would like to thank my mother who helped me in buying some of the materials such as a grinder, and welding laser, which I used while I was building this car.
I love cars, my dream is to own my garage one day and employ all underprivileged individuals who have the same passion for cars as myself.
Ward Councillor Thobani Dlamini promised to assist Mbhele in terms of registration to higher institutions so that he can be able to fulfill his dream of becoming the number one car maker in Matiwane.
“We are so proud of him as ward 23, and we are going to make sure that he fulfills his dream,” promised Dlamini.
