The second case is of a 26 year old man from Nquthu in KwaZulu-Natal who was diagnosed after presenting to a local hospital.
The Department is appealing to the people who experience any symptoms , with international travel history to present themselves to a health facility for clinical observation and confine themselves to one place until their test results are available.
The process of contact tracing for the latest cases is ongoing.
South Africans are warned not to lower their guard against mpox disease, as the country remains on high alert for possible surge.
